MIRROR WILLS - £62.45+VAT
When should we consider Mirror Wills ?
A pair of Mirror Wills is appropriate when you and your partner/spouse wish to write similar Wills.
You can make a pair of Mirror Wills at TenMinuteWill and will receive two Wills (one for you, one for your spouse/partner) with the following features:
- The first Will is exactly the same as a normal Single Will.
-
The second Will is also exactly the same as a normal Single Will, and is a ‘mirrored copy’ of the first Will with
your name and your partner/spouse’s name ‘interchanged’, i.e.:
- Your name is substituted with the name of your partner/spouse at the top of the 1st page
- Every occurrence of your partner/spouse's name in the rest of the Will is substituted with your name
- Relationships are 'calculated' in the second Will e.g. If you leave a sum of money to your brother-in-law in the first Will, our system will suggest that in the second Will this legacy be left to your partner/spouse's brother. Before either Will is generated, you may correct our suggestion e.g. your brother-in-law may also be your spouse's brother-in-law.
What are the benefits of making Mirror Wills ?
The benefit of making Mirror Wills is one of ease (you only have to type everything in once, instead of twice) and cost (you would pay 2 x £41.65+VAT for two Single Wills, but only £62.45+VAT for a pair of Mirror Wills).
You can make a pair of Mirror Wills if all of the following are true:
- You want to leave your Residuary Estate to each other as the primary beneficiary.
- You have identical ‘secondary’ beneficiaries for your Residuary Estate.
- You are partners or husband & wife.
- You both have the same Last Wishes or have specified them in separate letters.
