Providing Online Wills for 23 Years

This website has been owned and run since its inception in 2002 by Portology Limited - a company based in the south of England.

Portology Ltd. has among its directors and staff appropriately qualified Solicitors and Professional Willwriters. We have been Associate Members of the Society of Willwriters for more than 20 years.

Professional Design & Focus

The website was designed by, and with input from, a team of Solicitors, Professionally-qualified Willwriters, and Web Professionals. The aforementioned have all been involved in its continual development.

Unlike many other companies, for whom their online Willwriting business is an interesting sideline, our entire business is focused on our online Willwriting and Estate Planning websites - which are used by many large UK employers, numerous Independent Financial Advisers, numerous Charities, and the general public.

Professional Support

We do not use ‘bots’ or artificial intelligence: all communications sent by us are written by real (professionally qualified) people.

We are UK-based, and can be contacted via the ‘Contact’ page at this website. We will respond within one working day - our average response time is under 2 hours.

We also check every single document purchased. We commit to carrying this ‘check’ within 2 working days, but in practice well over 90% of documents purchased are checked and responded to the same day - weekday or weekend.

Open and Honest

We do not rest on our laurels, and are continually seeking to improve our service. To that end the communication of any Customer who contacts us with a complaint or suggestion regarding our service is copied to our CEO.

Our customer-oriented approach went one step further at the beginning of October 2013 when we began asking our Customers to submit feedback on our service to an Independent Customer Satisfaction Feedback Company: eKomi.

The results of this feedback - almost 2,000 reviews - are openly published on the internet and can be accessed here.

More recently, we have also started using Trustpilot.

Professional Protection

To date, from the hundreds of thousands of legal documents that have been generated using our website, not one, to our knowledge, has had its wording legally challenged.

Nevertheless, we take the protection of our Customers seriously, and to that end we carry £2.5 million of Professional Indemnity Insurance.

Finally, we have been profitable in every single year since we started trading. We make no apologies for this, because it means that we - and your online Will/LPA details - are a permanent fixture.
